This isn't HGTV

Don't watch HGTV, ITS A LIE!!!! You can't be that good looking, talk to each other while smiling and laughing without swearing while you are in the process of renovating ANYTHING much less a 75 year old house.
For those of you that don't know, Scotty and I just purchased our first home and although I am very happy with what we have accomplished so far, it has definitely not been a 30 minute episode of HGTV and you totally cannot do what they do in a weekend without a camera crew and oh let's say 100 experienced contractors.

Here are a few pictures for now. I would do more but after this past weekend I feel like I am 105 years old. UGH!!!

OH MY, THIS is what is under this ugly carpet!!!















Only 700 THOUSAND more staples and nails to go Scotty and just ignore that BLACK TAR GLUE that is making everything impossible.














I can't believe someone would cover this up!!! AMAZING!!!

It really is such a sense of accomplishment to change something into something you will call home and to know that when we are done we will have touched almost every square inch of the place in one way or another.
We are working on the kitchen floor now and will paint some this weekend.
